An IB visa is an exception to the normal labor certification requirement and offer employment requirement for eligible international skilled workers applying for immigration into the United States under the National Interest Waiver (NIW) for Permanent Residence in the United States (ERW). In order to qualify for the NIW, you must meet a number of strict immigration requirements. This is the highest level of eligibility for an IBSL or IELTS examination. As a result, many high skilled immigrants from other countries have chosen to study in New Zealand under the National Student Mobility Program, or NZ Student Program, as a way of reducing the amount of paperwork required for visa documentation purposes.

In 2021, the NICW was introduced as part of the United States federal legislative program, temporarily reducing the immigration eligibility requirements for certain classes of workers from selected countries outside the United Kingdom. At the time, the United Kingdom had very harsh restrictions on non-immigrants' access to permanent residence. This included an annual limit on the right of an immigrant to live in the UK for five years, a five-year ban on paying social security and income taxes in the UK for people outside the EU, and a three-year ban on driving for people outside the UK. The restrictions were due to be lifted completely in 2021, but have remained on the registry of the immigration and customs department.

Many students from non-English speaking countries wish to apply for a NZ work visa, or Green Card, after their graduation. For those eligible, a NZ immigration visa and NZ Green Card will provide immediate entry to the country, provided that you meet certain age requirements. However, there are a number of reasons why you may not be eligible for a Green Card, including having criminal convictions, having serious health conditions, and remaining in a country where your safety is at risk. Some students choose to stay in the country for longer, after they graduate, to increase their skills and education, or to avail of the NZ student migration process.

To be eligible for a Green Card, an applicant must demonstrate three main skills. These include being a New Zealand citizen by birth, having a New Zealand living visa, and being capable of performing the duties required of a New Zealand citizen by reason of their immigration status. In order to apply for a NZ visa, the applicant must also meet other prerequisites, such as their ability to speak a basic language, or being in one of Australia's twelve Regional Sponsored Programs. If the applicant does not meet these requirements, they can apply for a NZ immigration visa based on the point system that the Australian government uses to rate potential candidates for migration. After the approval of the application, the applicant must successfully demonstrate that they meet the above criteria, or in the case of a Green Card, that they are likely to achieve their objective of settling in New Zealand.

The Green Card provides eligible foreign nationals with the opportunity to live and work in New Zealand, and it allows them to access many of the country's benefits and services. By participating in an employer scheme, or undertaking Work Experience New Zealand or a similar program, eligible immigrants can satisfy their immediate and long-term labour requirements while they work in New Zealand. Many foreign nationals choose to enroll in an eb-2 national interest waiver or an easy training course, as these measures can help to reduce their obligations while they remain in the country.

Before an individual enters into any agreement with the Australian immigration authorities to apply for a NZ visa, they should be sure that they meet all of the eligibility requirements. Because many of the same eligibility criteria apply to applying for green cards as to those for naturalisation, it is important that the right people are selected for the appropriate visa categories. If you do qualify for an essay or an eb2 visa, you must ensure that you follow the rules and regulations of both your home country and the country in which you intend to reside after you receive your permanent visa. If you do not, you may have your visa cancelled and find that it is impossible to return to the country of your origin to make a successful application for a NZ visa.

Once you have met the eligibility criteria for naturalisation, or you have been awarded a visa, you should start preparing for the Visa Waiver interview. The most common questions asked at this enquiry are about your past work experience and education, which jobs you have held, whether you have ever experienced any criminal offences, and whether you have a driving licence that is valid in the country you wish to work in. A representative from the immigration office will visit the home address that you provide to apply for your visa. They will check that you have the correct details and will arrange for a quick interview with a Visa Waiver officer.

In the majority of cases where employers are keen to hire NZers, the interview process will conclude with the potential student being offered an employment contract. The contract will outline the length of employment and what is expected of the potential employee. If the applicant is unable to fulfill the requirements of the contract, they may be required to undergo a niw labor certification. A niw labor certification is not required for most jobs, but if the job offer contains such an obligation, the employer may choose to accept the offer based on whether they believe that the candidate would be able to fulfil the requirements of the contract.
